The last concert on David;#039;s 2006 Summer Tour was held in front of 50,000 people at the shipyards in Gdańsk, Poland, at the request of the Gdańsk Foundation.

The creation of the Solidarity movement, after Lech Walesa;#039;s sacking from the shipyards, led directly to the dismantling of the Soviet Union;#039;s control over the former Eastern Bloc, and to the reunification of Germany.

The concert was the only occasion on which David performed the tour material with an orchestra, using the 40-strong string section of the Polish Baltic Philharmonic Orchestra, conducted by Zbigniew Preisner, who was responsible for the On An Island album;#039;s orchestral arrangements.

(Roland TD20) Funk Rock in the Cage - My 12 month progress

This clip marks my twelve month progress playing drums. I am self taught.
The audio in this clip is directly out of my Roland TD20 and TD12 V drums modules into my Sony DV deck.
The keyboard solo was added afterwards in Protools.
The sounds of this kit are from one of my custom programmed kits and can be downloaded from my forum on my website at www.superpuss.com.au
The cage is my own design and consists of parts from two Roland MDS-3C racks and some black aluminium square tubing cut to size.
I have done a DIY electronic conversion to my Rototoms using DIY mesh heads and have built an electronic pitch control for them.
The two little white drums to the right are percussion triggers built from plumbing parts, self adhesive felt and a mouse mat. They are connected to a Roland TMC-6 expander which is connected to my TD20.
The three eight inch mesh head toms are my new DIY 8 x 4's with Roland mesh heads and my own DIY electronics. I will be adding five more of these very soon. The floor tom is also my own design, converted from a Pearl 13 inch fitted with a TAMA mesh head. Same with my gong which is also my own design and has a TAMA 22 inch mesh head. The China, left crash and middle splash are all from Kit Toys and respond extremely well.

Note from IMC management
This is an authorised paid placement clip. SRM has paid to place this non music related clip on IMC.
Contact Admin for further details.

I realise that this is not a music-related vid, but I had to post it.
Keith Olbermann delivers a stinging commentary on King George's recent Yahoo interview, discussing Iraq and giving up golf in order to show solidarity with the families of American service people killed in HIS war.

Jazz in the Cage - TD12 V drums 11 month progress

This clip marks my eleven month progress playing drums. So far, I am self taught.

The audio in this clip is directly out of my Roland TD12 V drums module into my Sony DV deck with no external processing.
The sounds of this kit are from one of my custom programmed kits optimised for use with brushes (notice the snare sweep sound) and can be downloaded from my forum on my website at SuperPuss.com.au
The cage is my own design and consists of parts from two Roland MDS-3C racks and some black aluminium square tubing cut to size.
I have done a DIY electronic conversion to my Rototoms which will be updated soon with Pintech mesh heads. The four little white drums to the right are percussion triggers built from plumbing parts, self adhesive felt and a mouse mat. They are connected to a Roland TMC-6 expander which is connected to my TD12.
My PD8 toms are soon to be replaced with eight new 8 x 4 inch toms with Roland mesh heads and my own DIY electronics.
The China, left crash and middle splash are all from Kit Toys and respond extremely well.
