This clip marks my twelve month progress playing drums. I am self taught. The audio in this clip is directly out of my Roland TD20 and TD12 V drums modules into my Sony DV deck. The keyboard solo was added afterwards in Protools. The sounds of this kit are from one of my custom programmed kits and can be downloaded from my forum on my website at www.superpuss.com.au The cage is my own design and consists of parts from two Roland MDS-3C racks and some black aluminium square tubing cut to size. I have done a DIY electronic conversion to my Rototoms using DIY mesh heads and have built an electronic pitch control for them. The two little white drums to the right are percussion triggers built from plumbing parts, self adhesive felt and a mouse mat. They are connected to a Roland TMC-6 expander which is connected to my TD20. The three eight inch mesh head toms are my new DIY 8 x 4's with Roland mesh heads and my own DIY electronics. I will be adding five more of these very soon. The floor tom is also my own design, converted from a Pearl 13 inch fitted with a TAMA mesh head. Same with my gong which is also my own design and has a TAMA 22 inch mesh head. The China, left crash and middle splash are all from Kit Toys and respond extremely well.

Controlling my Roland TD12 V Drums module from my Roland System 700 and System 100 analog sequencers. The control voltage outputs from my sequencers are fed directly into the trigger inputs on my TD12. All output voltages are 0 - 2 vdc, including the hihat foot controller signal. The snare and crash signals are going to the rim and edge inputs respectively. As you can see, this works remarkably well with no modifications to any of the instruments. My Yamaha SY77 is being used as a master clock for the sequencers. Audio was directly out of the TD12 into my camera and video was edited using Adobe Premiere.

This clip is a demonstration of acoustic stick noise and trigger response of my new Kit Toys Splash and China cymbals. As you'll see, they are similar in stick noise to Roland cymbals but they are MUCH more linear in response compared to my CY8's. My CY12 R/C has had the bell fix mod and the bell can now be played with dynamics even with fingertips!!

This is for those who like gutsy dynamics with a quiet beginning and a wall shaking ending. A powerful blast of progressive rock preceded by a dreamy but passionate vocoded vocal. Song Story This song was initially inspired by the drone of a supermarket refrigerator. The sound was ominous and powerful... just one deep note which surrounded me like a distant clap of thunder. In the studio, I started by re-creating that drone, which you hear slowly build during the first half of this song. Then I just started layering instruments (more synths, analog sequences, lead solos, drums and the vocoded vocal) until I ended up with what you hear.

This is the second of four movements from Becoming Real, a show I wrote based on a dream. This piece was written by my good friend, Lyndon Kriss and was filmed during our début perfromance from 1999.

In case you haven't already guessed, this song is about ex Aussie Prime Minister, John Howard and his involvement with the Iraq war and George Bush. It was the first single for SuperPuss and is written, performed and recorded by me (Titania). I also created the video clip and drew the cartoons. I hope you all enjoy it!
